TVNZ – how a marketing partnership created a free broadcasting initiative

THE SITUATION:

A television producer and broadcaster wanted further creative exploitation of their brands and increased profile for their talent – without incurring additional production costs or fees.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

To create a new model for developing branded TV entertainment by leveraging the power of Television branding and talent with a well resourced partner

THE SOLUTION: PARTNERSHIP PIONEERING

Form a joint-marketing initiative with a large and experienced event company and develop a Live Show to bring the Live Television experience to thousands of children.

IMPLEMENTATION:

A bespoke event was co-developed by the partner utilising TV2 owned branded content and featuring on-air promotions, live broadcasts and sponsor funded entertainment – with all television productions costs paid for by event management and sponsors.

RESULT:

More than 30,000 children attended the three day Live show to interact with the broadcasters branded talent, 4 hours of additional live television production costs, revenue share.
